Downtown Parking Garage Update Plans for the proposed parking garage at Sixth Avenue and Eighth Street have been submitted for permitting, with an estimated construction start date of April 2008 and completion scheduled December 2008. City officials are working on securing temporary parking locations throughout the downtown area while the garage is under construction (and the existing parking lot closed). Art Festival Accolades Downtown Naples’ art festivals have once again caught national attention and accolades! Event organizer Howard Alan reports that the Downtown Naples art shows held New Year’s weekend and during March have been named to the “Top 100 Art Festivals” in the country. These festivals were chosen from 10,000 events!
