The Naples Woman’s Club (NWC) proudly announced the award of $369,000 in scholarships to 53 outstanding Collier County students — the largest single-year scholarship investment in the club’s 90-year history.

Established in 1934 with a single scholarship for a nursing student, the NWC Scholarship Program has grown tremendously over the decades. Scholarships are awarded not only to graduating high school seniors, but also to students returning to school and continuing their education through college and professional programs.

This year’s recipients were honored at a special Scholarship Reception on April 26, where students and their families gathered to celebrate their achievements and express gratitude to the Naples Woman’s Club and its dedicated supporters.

Many students shared heartfelt stories about the impact the scholarships will have on their futures.

Megan Dalziel, a student in the Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing Practitioner program, said, “I am incredibly grateful to the NWC for the chance to celebrate at the luncheon. I was deeply moved and inspired by how many people are positively shaping lives through their generosity and support of our organization.”

Jessica Stewart, who is pursuing a Doctor of Juridical Science degree at Florida Gulf Coast University, attended the reception with her daughter Olivia.

Rosemary Giovanelli, a senior business management major at Florida Gulf Coast University, attended with her young son Pete.

Eric Tovar, recently admitted to the prestigious Roundtable of Entrepreneurs program at Florida International University, reflected on the significance of the award: “This recognition would not have been possible without your continued support throughout my college journey.”

Not all recipients are from Florida institutions. Daniel Creve-Coeur, a first-year engineering student at Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana, shared, “Thank you so much. I truly appreciate everything the Naples Woman’s Club does.”

Maria Paz Duran, a hospitality management major, expressed her appreciation simply: “I am truly beyond grateful.”

Maria Gonzalez, a senior pre-med student, added, “Thank you for your generosity and support.”

Through its scholarship program, the Naples Woman’s Club continues its longstanding mission of empowering students, strengthening families, and investing in the future of the Collier County community.

The Naples Woman’s Club is currently working with other local organizations to further our reach to Collier County students. To apply for a NWC scholarship contact: nwceducationcommitteechair@gmail.com.

A Legacy of Service and Impact

Founded in 1932, the Naples Woman’s Club is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering individuals and families through education, philanthropy, and service. From providing milk to undernourished children during the depression, to starting Naples’ first public library and helping to launch Youth Haven, the Club has been a cornerstone of the community for nearly a century. Today, NWC members continue that legacy through hands-on volunteerism and generous fundraising. To date, the Club has contributed more than $4 million in scholarships, grants, and community support across Collier County.
