For over 10 years, the Naples Woman’s Club has sponsored a community Flea Market at the NWC Clubhouse in downtown Naples. 2021 is no exception, with the Flea Market scheduled for Saturday, October 23. Our Flea Market, filled with hundreds of still-useful items, benefits the community in a number of ways! First, it provides clothing, housewares and much more to those in the community facing economic hardship. The Flea Market is also a constructive way to recycle useful things and save them from being discarded at the landfill—a second plus for our community. The net proceeds from the event help support the activities of the Club; last year, NWC gave over $250,000 in scholarships and grants.

With all doors wide open at 9 AM, and staff wearing masks (masks are requested of guests, too) the main room of the Naples Woman’s Clubhouse will be filled to the brim with tables of tops and slacks, racks of better dresses, piles of sports gear and toys, electronic appliances, artwork, housewares, and even some precious antique items. Small furniture will be available, too, plus a boutique room will hold better clothing and jewelry of all kinds.

The Naples Woman’s Club, established in 1934, has a long history of providing quality secondhand goods to the community. For years the Club managed a thrift store on 10th Street, now home to the Garden District Floral Shop. The Clubhouse, right in the center of downtown Naples at 570 Park Street, is a convenient place to hold the Flea Market now, with an ample parking lot adjacent to the building.

Chairman Nancy Herbert has been managing the collection of donations for months and will organize the many Club volunteers who help sort, price, and service the guests who arrive. A second Winter Flea Market is also scheduled for January 2022.

The NWC Fall Flea Market will be held on October 23 from 9 AM to 2 PM. Admission is free: CASH ONLY sales. Masks requested. Material donations to the Flea Market will be accepted up until October 20th, by appointment; please make arrangements for a drop-off by contacting info@napleswomansclub.org
