ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – Raymond James welcomed financial advisor Richard Weisberg, CRPS® to Raymond James Financial Services (RJFS) – the firm’s independent advisor channel – in Naples, Florida, according to Todd Gartrell, Southeast division director for RJFS.

Operating as Weisberg Wealth Management, Weisberg is joined by client service associates Nancy Comparetto and Cheryl Krebs. The practice serves individuals and families in addition to institutions such as corporate retirement plans, non-profits and endowments and foundations. Previously, the group was affiliated with UBS Financial Services where they managed more than $350 million in client assets.

“By establishing an independent practice at Raymond James, I gained the freedom to focus solely on working for, and being accountable to, my clients. This business model provides more flexibility to evaluate each client as an individual and utilize the vast resources and strategies available to create a custom financial plan in their best interest,” said Weisberg. “It also presents an exciting opportunity to build and develop our team as we see fit.”

A 28-year industry veteran, Weisberg formerly held roles as senior vice president – wealth management, wealth advisor, senior retirement plan consultant, institutional consultant and endowment and foundation consultant at Merrill Lynch and UBS Financial Services. He has earned the Chartered Retirement Plans SpecialistTM professional designation in addition to a Bachelor of Science degree from The Ohio State University. An active member of his community, Weisberg has served on various local academic and economic boards.
