More than Botox!!Meridian Medical Spa Specializes in Anti-Aging
Meridian Medical Spa, one of Fifth Avenue South’s newest family members, is a luxury destination medical spa where improving how clients look and feel, as well as their self-confidence, is founder Jessica Towns’ passion.
While operating in Bonita Springs since 2019, Meridian opened its downtown Naples office at 670 4th Avenue South just over a year ago. “I like to say we want to remodel tissue from the inside out. People want to feel good about themselves, and that is our goal,” says Jessica, who is also a patient-centered and caring Physician Assistant and has a major following of clients who not only consult with her but are treated by her as well.

The spa boasts more than 50 offerings on its menu, including injectables, hair removal and restoration, face and skin resurfacing, weight loss, IV therapy, sexual wellness, body contouring, and HydraFacial. Because client treatments are customized, the list of actual services is much longer. The primary focus is regenerative aesthetics. “We help treat so many concerns from wrinkles, volume loss, thin lips, overall aging, acne, acne scars, unwanted hair, uneven skin texture, cellulite, fat, muscle sculpting, pigmentation, sun spots, melasma, enlarged pores, to hair loss, and more,” says Jessica.
The most popular treatments are Botox, lip filler, microneedling and weight loss medications. The vast majority are not painful, unless there is a need for a more aggressive schedule for a wedding or other special event.
Meridian has a full-time medical director Bruce Gardner, MD, a board-certified radiologist who attended medical school and did his residency at Mayo Clinic. Dr. Gardner oversees the day-to-day operations, protocols, and innovation. Naples Meridian has four team members, all highly trained and experienced advanced medical providers, including nurse practitioners, physician assistants, nurses, and medical aestheticians.

Jessica is very excited about some of their newest services dealing with incontinence and sexual wellbeing. “Some of our treatments literally can be life-changing,” she notes. “I am passionate about making people feel good, and I’m committed to the innovation and science that can make that happen.” Jessica spends a lot of time attending medical conferences to learn about new techniques and technologies. “The field is dramatically evolving in terms of what we can do. Two-year-old treatments are already being updated or completely replaced with better ones. You have to stay relevant, if you want to offer the best care out there,” she underscores.
Jessica’s road to Median has been fascinating from developing her own anti-aging plan in her 20s to earning a degree from Emory University in molecular genetics to attending PA school in Savannah, GA to seeing patients and doing oncology research at Mayo Clinic in Minnesota. She’s also an entrepreneur, so determined to open her own medical spa, that she did it during the pandemic, when she acquired a failing med spa in Bonita Springs. “I was afraid we weren’t going to make it,” she humbly admits. Instead, she completely rehabilitated the spa by making it patient-centric and providing the best and least painful care possible…a model she practices today in SWFL.
She expanded her original vision of owning a medical spa when she opened the Naples operation. “Fifth Avenue is the place to be,” says Jessica. “I love the area, it’s so delightful to walk to work and stroll down Fifth Avenue. There are so many cute boutiques, other businesses, and amazing restaurants. It’s a vibrant and fun place to be.”

The spa sees patients of all ages from teenagers who have acne issues to middle-aged professionals who want to look great on the job to older patients who want to age as beautifully and comfortably as possible. While the majority of patients are women, men represent a growing percentage of patients. “I think men are seeing their wives aren’t aging, so they want to stay young-looking too,” Jessica says with a smile. Regardless of age or gender, the Meridian is known for its culture of patient interaction. “I try to set the example, the tone and the expectations,” says Jessica.
Jessica enjoys the beach and catching every sunrise and sunset when she’s not working. She loves to cook really healthy food, of course, and is a medical volunteer with a group that supports young adults with cancer. She lives with her three Italian Greyhounds that bring her immense joy.
Consultations are free to discuss your personal needs and to allow Meridian to create a tailored plan to keep you looking and feeling young.
