A Feast for Good: Lifting Spirits and Supporting Local Families
The Flavors of 5th dining campaign has served up another year of success, enticing locals and visitors alike to savor the signature tastes of 5th Avenue South.
Running for six weeks July through August, the Fifth Avenue South Business Improvement District (BID) promoted the prix fixe menu event at some of the Avenue’s most celebrated restaurants. From long-time favorites to exciting newcomers, 17 restaurants, including Aqua, BhaBha, Bistro, 821, Chops City Grill, Del Mar, Keeywaydin, Le Colonial, Ocean Prime, Pazzo, Truluck’s, and Tulia Osteria, offered curated multi-course menus at affordable pricing, highlighting the diverse flavors that make the Avenue a premier dining destination.
The campaign not only energized the Avenue during its quieter season but also delivered meaningful results. “For a second consecutive year, Flavors of 5th has exceeded expectations, boosting sales and foot traffic in support of our community,” said Chris Shucart, President of the Fifth Avenue South BID. “It’s a testament to what collaboration can achieve.”
That collaboration extended to philanthropy, with participating restaurants raising $21,111 for local non-profit Beverly’s Angels, nearly doubling contributions from last year. The funds will support the organization’s Dear Santa program, which brings holiday joy to essential workers and their families. “The generosity of our community continues to inspire us,” said Faith Schwalback, Founder and CEO of Beverly’s Angels. “Thanks to Flavors of 5th, more families will experience a brighter holiday season.”
Flavors of 5th was born from restaurant leaders seeking creative ways to address seasonal challenges. Today, it has grown into a beloved summer tradition. “This initiative isn’t just about dining deals; it’s about valuing our workforce and showcasing the Avenue as a year-round destination,” noted Ken Allen, Operating Partner, Truluck’s Ocean’s Finest Seafood and Crab.
BID Executive Director Meg Stepanian added, “What began as a simple idea has evolved into a signature event. Year two reflects the staying power of Flavors of 5th and the shared commitment of our restaurants, merchants, and community to keep the Avenue vibrant.”
As Naples prepares for the busy season, the continued success of Flavors of 5th underscores the enduring appeal of 5th Avenue South—where extraordinary dining meets meaningful community impact.
