5th Avenue South Home to Naples’ Annual July Events
NAPLES, Fla. (June 16, 2015) – 5th Avenue South (www.FifthAvenueSouth.com) is pleased to announce that it will host several events along the Avenue throughout the month of July-including Naples’ annual 4th of July events.
First up, is 5th Avenue South’s special 4th of July Weekend Sidewalk Sale that will take place from Friday, July 3 to Sunday, July 5. Participating merchants will bring their merchandise and sale items to the sidewalks for the 4th of July holiday. Shoppers are invited to visit their favorite 5th Avenue South merchants while discovering new ones too.
Next, Paws on 5th /#PawsAroundTown will take place on Friday, July 3 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Humane Society Naples will host this special event that will allow you to stroll with some of its most lovable four-legged cuties along the Avenue! Humane Society staff and volunteers will be on hand to answer your questions and provide you with adoption forms if you find yourself in love at first sight! Humane Society Naples’ Mobile Adoption Bus will be parked on Park Street at 5th Avenue South and participating merchants will be donating a portion of their sales to support Humane Society Naples.
On Saturday, July 4, 5th Avenue South will be home to Naples’ annual 4th of July Parade that will take place from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The parade route will begin at Broad Avenue South, travel down 3rd Street South to 5th Avenue South, and end at 8th Street South. Thousands will gather to witness this spectacular event filled with festive floats and family fun.
Naples’ annual 4th of July Fireworks, begin at 9:00 p.m. on July 4 at the City Pier on 12th Avenue. The show will last approximately 30 minutes. Guests are encouraged to bring a folding chair or blanket to enjoy this amazing display of fireworks along the sandy shores of Naples City Beach. Following the fireworks, many businesses will be open along 5th Avenue South for dinner, dessert, and shopping.
And, throughout the month of July, stop by 5th Avenue South for You First on 5th, a special discount program geared toward Southwest Florida locals that begins in June and will run through August 31 at participating businesses and restaurants. You First on 5th was created as a way to give back to those residents who shop in Naples – and Southwest Florida – year round. In order to participate in this exciting program, residents will just need to show a valid Florida driver’s license, identification card, or The Avenue Club card, at the checkout or to the server. Each year over 65 businesses and restaurants participate and offer over 80 specials and discounts!
