Fifth Avenue South to Host 39th Annual Christmas Walk & Tree Lighting Ceremony
NAPLES, Fla. (November 11, 2013) – Fifth Avenue South will host the 39th Annual Christmas Walk & Tree Lighting Ceremony on Thursday, December 5, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
This momentous Naples holiday tradition will commence with holiday performances, the lighting of the majestic Christmas tree by Mayor John Sorey, and a visit from Santa himself! The evening will also include holiday performances and activities by local schools, dance troupes, church choirs, and area performers all along Fifth Avenue South from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
The holiday decorations – including the gorgeous Christmas tree and the embellishments throughout Sugden Plaza – were generously sponsored this year by Naples Square, Kilwin’s of Naples, ReQuest, Yabba Island Grill, Chops, and Pazzo!.
Restaurants, shops, and businesses along Fifth Avenue South and adjoining streets will be open for shopping, dining, and holiday cheer during the Christmas Walk.
Fifth Avenue South will be blocked to traffic for this event starting at 2:00p.m. Free parking is available in the two public garages on 8th Street, in the public lot on Park Street; and along 5th Avenue South Parkway and in spaces surrounding Cambier Park.
