KidzAct to Present Much Ado About Nothing
April 13, 2016
NAPLES, FL- KidzAct, Youth Theatre of The Naples Players will present Shakespeare’s romantic comedy, Much Ado About Nothing for their annual Shakespeare on the Plaza showcase. Much Ado About Nothing will be performed on April 23 on the outdoor Baker Stage at Sugden Community Theatre, 701 5th Avenue South in downtown Naples.
Shakespeare’s romantic comedy, Much Ado About Nothing, highlights one of the great stage couples of all time: Beatrice and Benedick. Allergic to marriage or even romance, these two are forced to face their feelings by the subterfuge of friends. Trickery threatens to pull apart another happy couple, but it all comes out right in the end.
Much Ado About Nothing will highlight some of KidzAct’s most advanced students, including Anna Barry, Benjamin Batcher, Abby Carroll, Julia Cornwall, Diliana Gresbrink, Anthony Henderson, Abigail Henning, Josiah Hurtley, Tamica Jean-Charles, Alicia Kreifels, Zach Pachol, Hunter Reum, Michelle Ritter, Alex Stanco, and Alyssa Sparrow.
This is the eighth presentation of Shakespeare on the Plaza by the advanced acting group of KidzAct. The abridged show runs about an hour. If you haven’t seen one of these plays, try this one. It is truly a delightful Saturday morning on Fifth Avenue.
Theatre-goers should note this is a one time performance on Saturday, April 23. The play will start at 11:00 a.m. A limited amount of tickets are available and can be purchased at the box office, by calling 239-263-7990.
