Sheldon Fine Art to Host Special Reception for Carolin Wehrmann on April 10

NAPLES, Fla. (March 31, 2014) – Sheldon Fine Art will host a champagne reception and book signing event for German seascape artist, Carolin Wehrmann, on Thursday, April 10 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Sheldon Fine Art, located at 460 Fifth Avenue South in Naples, Florida. The event is open to the public and will take place during Fifth Avenue South’s monthly Evening on Fifth event.
Carolin Wehrmann, from the rural countryside near Lübeck in North Germany, is considered one of the world’s leading contemporary painters of seascapes and aquatic scenes. She captures these seascapes and aquatic scenes using a glazing technique that was defined by the old masters – Rembrandt, Titian, and others. The result is a masterful portrayal of sky, water, and shore that is literally breathtaking.

The gallery will showcase art from Wehrmann’s many series – “Clarity”, “Backlight”, “Clearwater”, and her new series titled “Reflections”. “Reflections” redefines her view of the water motif. Wehrmann’s first book, titled WATER, just published in March 2014, presents 81 of her impressive artworks. This exquisite book will be available at Sheldon Fine Art, and Wehrmann will sign copies at the gallery event on April 10.
