The Naples Players Cast Gypsy

NAPLES, FL- The Naples Players has cast Gypsy to be performed June 27 through July 27 in Blackburn Hall at Sugden Community Theatre. The show will be directed by Dallas Dunnagan and Dawn Lebrecht Fornara who will also serve as choreographer of the production. The music director will be Charles Fornara. Mike Santos will be in charge of scenic design. The stage manager will be Cole Butcher.
This classic American musical takes place in the dying days of vaudeville and tells the story of Mama Rose, the quintessential stage mother, and her obsessive determination to make her two daughters into stars no matter the cost. Inspired by the memoirs of the burlesque dancer Gypsy Rose Lee, this entrancing musical boasts some of Broadway’s most famous melodies like “Everything’s Coming Up Roses,” “Some People,” and “Let Me Entertain You.”

The show will be performed Wednesdays through Saturdays at 8pm and Sundays at 2pm. Tickets are $40 for adults and $10 for students 21 and under, and can be purchased at the box office, by calling 239.263.7990 with credit card information, or by visiting naplesplayers.org. Sugden Community Theatre is located at 701 5th Avenue South in downtown Naples.
