The Naples Players to present Good People
January 24, 2014
NAPLES, FL- The Naples Players will present Good People from February 5 through March 1 in Tobye Studio at Sugden Community Theatre.
Tenacious, sharp-tongued Margie, played by Bonnie Knapp plans to seek employment from an old flame (Paul Graffy) that managed to get out of South Boston and become a successful doctor. David Lindsay-Abaire, Pulitzer Prize winner for Rabbit Hole, is at his best with this humor filled drama. Good People is a thought provoking play that serves as a snapshot of the great American divide between the haves and have-nots.
Other cast members include Victoria Diebler as Margie’s friend, Jean. Janina Birtolo will play Dottie, Margie’s landlord and caretaker to her handicapped adult child. Sonya McCarter performs as Mike’s onstage wife, Kate and Matthew Striegel plays Stevie, Margie’s boss at the dollar store.
The show will be performed Wednesdays through Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m. Tickets are $25 for adults and $10 for students, 21 and under, and can be purchased at the box office, by calling 239.263.7990 with credit card information, or by visiting naplesplayers.org. Sugden Community Theatre is located at 701 5th Avenue South in downtown Naples.
