Osteria Tulia will transport diners to Naples’ first contemporary osteria and an ambiance of “rustic chic” that harmonizes with Chef Betulia’s “cucina rustica.” An exterior of ivy-wrapped columns, wooden shutters, copper gas lanterns, and alfresco seating announces a stylish, laid-back vibe. Painted wood farmhouse chairs, tables made of reclaimed Dade County heart pine, antique brick and pine floors, and a marble-top bar create a patinated old-world setting.
At the full bar, customers can enjoy a range of hand-selected Italian and American wines, signature cocktails and piattini (small plates) including caramelized brussels sprouts with house made fennel sausage; house made ricotta with local peach marmellata, walnuts and chive; Sicilian meatballs with toasted pine nuts, currants and tomatoes, and bocconcini (small bites) of prosciutto, provolone and arugula on puff pastry buns slathered with scallion butter.
Osteria Tulia is located at 466 5th Avenue South, in the Arches Building. The new owners transformed the interior and exterior of the building, creating an Italian farmhouse with a state-of-the-art-kitchen, including a wood-fired vertical rotisserie, and a wood grill and pizza oven, both custom-built.
