No, you won’t be seeing things! Yes, we are having Christmas in July complete with Angels.

The Fifth Avenue South Business Improvement Disrict (BID) has partnered with non-profit Beverly’s Angels, an organization that supports individuals in our community who are earnestly striving to build their own paths, while navigating careers and family. Many of these workers have been profoundly affected by the elevated cost of living in Southwest Florida, and that’s where Beverly’s Angels is providing a hand up to deserving families.

Beverly’s Angels first contacted the BID to see if they could offer assistance to employees working on Fifth Avenue South that might be in need of special help, especially in advance of Christmas when many under-resourced families need help the most. As a result, the BID is sponsoring Christmas in July in partnership with Beverly’s Angels.

Here’s how it works. Beginning July 11th, in concert with Evening on Fifth, participating businesses will offer bundles of pajamas, socks, toys, soaps, costume jewelry, hair accessories, makeup, trinkets, gift certificates, and other wants for recipients, providing a wide range of options, especially for children and seniors. Shoppers may then purchase these gifts to donate to Beverly’s Angels “Dear Santa” program. The “Dear Santa” program celebrates empowerment and choice by inviting nominated families to shop at their Tinsel Team Headquarters for holiday gifts and essentials.
